Jozani Forest is also known as Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park and is the only national park on Zanzibar Island. Jozani forest is famous for rare red Colobus monkeys, Zanzibar Sykes’ monkey, a very rare monkey species unique to Zanzibar island. Along with Red Colobus Monkeys, you can expect to see Bush babies, 50 different species of butterflies and 40 species of birds. Jozani forest is considered a natural pharmacy since each plant or tree cures something, there are many trees and palm trees. Prison Island on the other hand is an old quarantine station, headquarters of giant land tortoises and snorkeling spot. Join a half-day trip to Prison Island. We will take a boat from the shores of Stone Town, setting down anchor 5 km away, on the beautiful white sand spongy beach of Prison Island. While surrounded by pure turquoise waters, as you take a barefoot stroll on the soft, powdery sands of Mnemba Island after an amazing snorkel in Zanzibar’s best snorkel spot, the soft breezes of the Indian Ocean will caress you. allowing you to absorb the tranquillity of this private isle amidst the rustling of swaying screw pines, giant-leaved fig trees and wild rubber figs.
